It feels like my first sale was a hundred years ago, in 1999, a tiny condo in West Hollywood that sold for a hundred and forty thousand dollars. That is unimaginable today but at the time it seemed like a lot of money, especially for a 560 square foot unit. Two years later my client sold it for 220K. Today that same unit is worth close to 500K, proving that California real estate is a great investment. I sold real estate through the salad days of the early 2000's, the difficult times of the recession years and I'm still here today. I am proud to say that not one of my clients lost their homes during the recession. I've helped clients purchase their first, second and sometimes even their third homes and then sold those houses for them when they started a family or had enough equity to move on up. I've traveled all over with clients to help them find their homes, from Pasadena to Santa Monica, basically from the mountains to the sea. Once my clients have the home they love and have built equity in their house we talk about them using that equity as a downpayment on a duplex, fourplex, or small apartment building. Several of my clients have built real wealth this way.
I like to think of myself as a "real estate therapist." I have so much compassion for people going through the stressful process of buying and selling property because I've been there myself. My years of experience as a REALTOR in L.A. and Ventura Counties has taught me how to take the pressure off my clients, after all they are making the largest purchase of their lives.
